Fixed brass georgian bars in windows and doors
Our fixed georgian bars between the panes ... a new flair in your garden. The georgian bars looks very elegant and exclusive. Another advantage is a very easy cleaning of the pane, as the bars lie between the panes.

Delivery: The price shown is for the cabin delivered and unloaded kerbside in delivery Zone 1. For details of other delivery zones please go to the bottom of this page.
The cabin timber will be delivered untreated, enabling you to use a timber preservative in a colour of your choice.
We recommend the use of Osmo natural timber preservatives or alternatively you can purchase your cabin treated at the factory, for factory colour's available please see below. |

Wall construction:
The walls are of high stability and wind-resistance due to chalet-milling in every corner-joint.
The wall thickness of 45 mm have special profiles with conic double-groove and clip for even higher stability
The gable and block planks on the sides are adapted to the slope of the roof (as shown in the drawing).

Doors:
The doors are made with weather strips, georgian bars and pure glass
(pane is silicone-based)
Door frames are 42 mm laminated (pic.1)
German branded locks and fittings in DIN, with cylinder lock(pic.2)
Adjustable door-hinges(pic.3)
From a minimum wall thickness of 28 mm: doorpost lockside are made of glued wood(see detail)
The door on 28 mm wall thickness cabins: windows with segmental blend effect
From 45 mm wall thickness: double-glazed doors made of 42 mm glued wood, preventing the doors from twisting.
A stainless steel treshold strip is available for an extra charge

Floor construction:
Waterproofed base frames of 60/40 mm are provided at 28 mm wall thickness
Waterproofed wooden beam ground bearing of 60/80 mm are provided as from wall thickness 33mm up
From 19 to 33 mm wall thickness: floor casing is made of 19 mm tongue and groove boards incl. baseboards
From a minimum wall thickness of 45 mm: floor casing made of 22 mm plane planks incl. baseboards

Roof construction:
The roofs are made from 19 mm: tongue and groove boards
From a wall thickness of 28 mm: Purlins width 60/140 mm
From a wall thickness of 33 mm: Purlins width 80/160 mm
From a wall thickness of 45 mm: Purlins width 80/160 mm and stronger depending on the size of the building
(buildings at a minimum wall thickness of 45 mm are strong enough to take real slate tiles.)

Roof shingles:
Roof shingles, in a choice of colour's are included in all our Bertsch Holzbau log cabin prices.

Windows:
Windows are provided with weather strips, georgian bars and pure glass(pane is silicone-based)
Windows are available with turn- /cant-mechanism from a wall thickness of 33 mm
Buildings with wall thickness of 28 mm windows are made with segmental blend effect
For log cabins with a wall thickness from 45 mm a one-hand-roto turn-/cant-mechanisms with double-glazed glass pane with anodized aluminium water bar, windows are provided in different sizes to suit your needs.

Individual options
From a minimum wall thickness of 28 mm: windows and doors with inside georgian bars (brass) are available for an extra charge (making it possible to clean the windows without disturbing the wooden georgian bars )
Prefabricated buildings and pavilion models can be custom-coloured in a single-colour or two coloured varnished for an extra charge.
Individual custom making of your dream building, including custom made windows, doors and working prefabricated window shutters are available for all windows for a small extra charge.
Copper 'hats with ball' are provided with all 'hipped' roof buildings

Delivery:
Delivery is FREE into zone 1 (see map to the right) however there will be additional charges as shown for other areas
Deliveries are unloaded by a forklift, that is carried on the back of the lorry, which is far more versatile than the usual Hyab type, used by many other firms, as the packages can be transported into yards etc. is access is suitable, where lorries cannot get.
If you feel you may have a delivery problem please contact our offices before ordering. Please note: Deliveries of this make of log cabin are made on an articulated lorry with an average length of 40 ft.
Delivery is either into your front drive, grassed frontage or in the kerbside, whichever is possible. If this is to be kerbside or on the grassed area outside the delivery address, the customer will be held responsible to provide cones or flashing lights while the pallets remain on the highway or grassed area.
If you foresee any access restrictions for this type of vehicle or delivery you MUST let the office or sales person know, BEFORE placing your order as there may be additional costs involved if other modes of transport need to be arranged.
Although the road may be wide enough to take large lorries, very often when deliveries take place there are vehicles parked down these roads restricting the road width, please take this into consideration. | | Area 1 Free delivery.
